Technical information.

Since 1909 plans have been made to connect the island Averøy to the mainland. At that time railroad was considered best. But as the automobile became more and more available the railroad plans were put aside in 1935.

In the 70ties, road project plans were made, and finally, august 1st 1983 construction started on Atlanterhavsveien.
